In this version of Clinometer, which is limited but free, users can access all features except calibration. Clinometer is a professional tool designed for precise slope measurements on iOS devices such as the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Its utility ranges from basic tasks like aligning frames to more intricate applications that demand exact slope measurements. The app allows users to measure slopes in all directions using any edge of the device. When the device is placed flat on a surface, a bubble view appears for reference. Current features of Clinometer include:

<li>Five unit modes for displaying slope measurements: degrees (rounded or in tenths), percentage, rise over run (common for roof slopes), and 1V:H (common in engineering).</li>
<li>Dial Rotation feature for customizing the direction of 0° and 90° degrees.</li>
<li>Motion-sensitive Lock feature that waits for a steady position before final lock based on user-defined sensitivity.</li>
<li>Volume Button Lock option for locking measurements using device volume buttons.</li>
<li>Peer Mode for utilizing two devices in measuring angles, one as a display and the other as the measurement tool.</li>
<li>Fullscreen Mode to prevent incorrect inputs during measurements.</li>
<li>Multiple color schemes available with instant switch options.</li>
<li>Adjustable Auto-Lock feature to prevent the device from sleeping.</li>
</ul>

Note that two-way calibration is exclusive to the full version of the app. Users are encouraged to consider supporting the developers by purchasing the full version.

An inclinometer, also known as a clinometer, is described as an instrument for measuring slope angles or inclinations in relation to gravity. The app aims for recreational use only and can achieve high accuracy post-calibration, especially on the main axis. Measurement precision is attempted using built-in accelerometers on iOS devices.
